Devotion, the new game from the Detention authors, will plunge you into the Taiwanese horrors of the 80s.
The plot of Devotion revolves around a Taiwanese religious family of three people who once lived in an old house. The user will explore the building, "which was once full of love and fun, and now turned into a nightmarish place," and solve puzzles to learn more about these people. The game will be executed in full 3D with a first-person perspective. The developers promise a realistic art style and atmospheric sound, inspired by Taiwanese folk culture - Taoist mantras and ritual music.
“Think about what you are praying for”
“Passing through each memory, revealing the layers of each mystery, you can find in this house the buried and disturbing truth of those who lived here,” the quest says.
The Devotion page should appear on the Steam on February 19.
The two-dimensional scrolling horror Detention received a lot of positive feedback, released in January 2017 on the PC (and in March on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch).
The atmosphere of Taoist culture, the distortion of space, rooms smeared with blood, the light of a lighter that illuminates dark corridors - all this awaits horror fans in the psychological horror Devotion.
