Developers' favorite Fatalities in the new Mortal Kombat game

The developers of the Mortal Kombat new part shared their favourite Fatality in a short interview.

For example, Ed Boon especially highlighted Scorpion’s Fatality - it’s when he flies through the enemy in a fiery whirlwind, burning his insides. After that, he draws his sword and, cutting off the opponent's head, throws it up with his foot and in-flight pierces it through with the harpoon on the chain (kunai). It's funny that at the same time the spine remains in place.

Fatality of such characters as Skarlet, Geras, and Johnny Cage, were also highlighted.

Skarlet’s Fatality is really very impressive - she takes all the enemy’s blood with her forces and then, turning them into dangerous “icicles”, pierces the enemy through, creating a sort of kebab on skewers. Then she comes to the enemy and pushes one of the “icicles” into his/her head in such a way that the eyeball of the enemy, with the skull flying apart on the sides, remains on the tip.

The new character Geras has a rather unpleasant Fatality, when he imprints his opponent into the stone, and then tears him into halves with his hands.

But the three developers unanimously identified Johnny Cage’s Fatality as the most disgusting and memorable of all. He dismembers the enemy in half and puts his upper body on the arm, arranges a small presentation of ventriloquism under the spotlights, at the end of which invisible disgruntled spectators throw the enemy with tomatoes.
