Yang "Deth" Wu Heng is stepping down from the compLexity Gaming roster, where he had been playing for the last five months. According to the official press release by coL, the decision has nothing to do with the short run at ESL One Mumbai and came as a result of long internal discussions.
It was hard for the Singaporean player to live so far from home, constantly worry about the visa issues and maintain the optimal game condition. Since coL qualified for MDL Disneyland Paris Major with Deth, the team will pay his salary through the event and his share of the prize winnings.
Jaron “monkeys-forever” Clinton will step in the 3rd position on a trial basis and after the event coL will be evaluating “all options” ahead of the EPICENTER Major.
compLexity Gaming has been struggling to secure Dota Pro Circuit points this season, often falling short in the qualifiers. With the upcoming MDL Disneyland Paris Major and EPICENTER Major, it has very limited chances to secure a spot at The International, which takes place in August.
