Destiny 2: XP Farming Guide

Introduction

Destiny 2 was one of the biggest hits when it was first launched. Apart from the many cool features that made it stand out, probably the most distinctive feature of it was the fact that it is a shooter/MMO. That said, leveling in this game is always been somewhat strange.

Ever since the New Light was released, the leveling system in Destiny 2 was completely changed. Now, everyone starts at the same base level, which makes it pretty hard to progress that fast, unless you know what to do. That's why we decided to make this guide and show you how can you actually gain a lot of exp with little to no effort.

XP Farming - How To?

The entire idea behind leveling is that you will get a certain reward once you "level up". One of the first ways of doing it is by doing campaign and Patrol missions. Even though you might not think it's not worth it, these things definitely helo you a lot. However, you need to be prepared to spend some time because the campaign requires around 10 hours to finish. That said, you will get a lot of levels by the time you're done so it's definitely worthwhile. What's more, as you level up, you will be able to unlock higher-level quests that provide more exp in total.

In addition to that, there are also special vendor and faction quests that are very easy to do and provide good XP for the work. Most of them will require you to kill certain enemies in some locations but there could be other types of action as well. 

Another useful method of leveling is by taking part in the various Heroic Public events and lost sectors that are being held across the world. They are a bit hard to win but regardless, you will be able to chunk a decent amount of EXP off them.

Playing with other people

Contrary to popular opinion, playing with other people at a party is actually a great way of leveling. That's due to the fact that there are various season boosters that you can get from your season pass. They allow you to get bonus exp whenever you do anything with someone in your friends' list, which is pretty cool.

However, the tricky part is that this bonus only works whenever you are in the same location. So, if you want to do quests in another orbit and still get the bonus, it is not going to work.

Different Bounties

As you probably know, there are many different bounties that you can do and all of them provide different amounts of XP, depending on what the actual task is. For instance, one of the hardest bounties to do is the Drifter's Gambit Prime and the Rechoking bounties. However, they compensate a lot by providing a significant amount of XP in comparison to the others. Apart from them, the Spider's bounties seem to be the best choice in terms of XP. That said, feel free to try other types of bounties as well and see which works best for you.

It also depends a lot on the location that you are in. For instance, if you happen to find yourself on the moon, Eris is one of the best people to go to and get a bounty. Not only does she provide pretty much the easiest tasks to do, but you can also complete a lot at the same time, which saves you tons of time and provides a decent amount of EXP. However, keep it in mind that you will get more XP if you do the quests separately from one another. 

Keep it in mind that it is wise to add someone to your team before you decide to turn in the bounty. If you do this, you will get more exp due to the bonus. Of course, it's not necessary to do it but this guide is all about how you can level faster and this is one of the ways. Just remember to do as many bounties as possible because they proved to be one of the most efficient ways of succeeding.

Know your gear

Needless to say, this is one of the most important aspects if you want to level fast and efficient. The right gear can do wonders, especially if you use it in certain tricky situations.

There are many examples of how the gear actually helps. Probably one of the best ones is to use a ghost alongside the guiding light. This will give you an additional 10% bonus to your XP, which is pretty significant when you combine it with the different bonuses that you get from the bounties. Other popular choices for gear include Driver, Vanguard, Crucible, and others. Feel free to experiment and see which works best for you.

Kill efficiently

Even though it might seem like a "no-brainer", it is important to kill your enemies "the right way". Unlike many other games out there, in Destiny 2, you get more EXP if you kill your enemy in a more efficient and "cool" way, which is why you should always try to land this headshot whenever you can. 

In fact, there are even people who only try to land the perfect shot in order to get the kill. We definitely do not advise you on that because it can be a bit risky sometimes.
