When Ukrainian Dota 2 legend Danil "Dendi" Ishutin created his new esports organization B8, it marked the beginning of a new era. In a new video, he reveals how the roster was assembled, and the trials faced so early in the organization's existence.

The original B8 lineup consisted of Alexandr "pio65" Zalivako, Andrey "Ghostik" Kadyk, Rinat "KingR" Abdullin, and Zaur "Cooman" Shakhmurzaev. However, the team faced its first big problem when Cooman revealed that he had received an offer from Virtus.pro. They were already at the bootcamp training together, but Cooman was still working out issues with his contract at the time. Thus, when the offer came, he had no legal obligation to B8

After some deliberation, Cooman took the offer, leaving his former teammates in a tight position. With only days to the upcoming Dota qualifier, they had to find a new Carry, and fast if they were going to get any time to bootcamp together. After a rigorous search, pio65 eventually recommended Nicola "LeBron" Popovich, who turned out to be the perfect replacement for Cooman.

Here's the full B8 roster:

  1. Alexandr "pio65" Zalivako
  2. Danil "Dendi" Ishutin
  3. Andrey "Ghostik" Kadyk
  4. Rinat "KingR" Abdullin
  5. Nicola "LeBron" Popovich

The organization has also signed a partnership deal with esports bookmaker, Rivalry. The deal will see Rivalry create content around B8 and its players to help strengthen its position in the esports industry.
