Dendi joins Team Secret as a stand-in

MidOne will miss Autumn Brawl playoff.

Remember when we wrote that Dendi could join Team Secret? Well, turns out we were almost right. Clement "Puppey" Ivanov recently announced that Zheng "MidOne" Yeik Nai would miss Maincast $80,000 Autumn Brawl online tournament playoff and the captain’s “old friendDanil "Dendi" Ishutin would join as a stand-in.

When Dendi declared his departure from NaVi he explained that he didn’t plan to retire from competitive Dota 2. This sparked a new debate about player’s plans for the future, and whether former TI champion would start a new roster or join an existing one. Most people are convinced, that none of the Tier 1 teams are ready to accept Dendy into their main roster, because former world-class mider lacks considerable results in recent years.

This showing during Maincast Autumn Brawl will allow Dendi to remind about himself and show off his skill. Despite recent qualifiers for The Kuala Lumpur Major and DreamLeague Season 10, many teams still have open positions on their rosters and they might want to look at Dendi’s performance.

For many viewers, Dendi and Puppey playing together will be a pleasant blast from the past and a good reason to follow Team Secret in that tournament.

Maincast Autumn Brawl starts on 12 October at 17:00 CET. Team Secret might meet with Dendi’s and Puppey’s old team Natus Vincere in their first match.
