Last year the fans of Team SoloMid experienced a painful moment when FlyQuest managed to backdoor the opponent. A similar scenario happened this Sunday when Omran “V1per” Shoura took down Nexus by himself, while TSM players were out on the map.
TSM started the game with an advantage, the middle and the bottom lane going their way. Around 13th minute the carry of FlyQuest Juan “JayJ” Guibert initiated with Ornn ultimate and overpowered the two opponents in the bottom lane. The episode swung the game in favor of FlyQuest and eventually snowballed the game out of TSM’s control.
In the end, had V1per decided to stay on the map with his team, the game would still most likely end with FlyQuest’s victory. But the way the player closed it, brought a feeling of déjà vu to the fans of both teams and everyone watching the competitive League of Legends.
On the Sunday game, FlyQuest had a much bigger advantage than in the game that took place last year, but the similarities made the moment very memorable.
