Death Stranding has officially gone gold, a major milestone on the road to release!

Hideo Kojima announced this news on his twitter and thanked everyone in Kojima Productions for the help in developing the game engine. Hideo promised that fans could play it on November 8 and thanked all the fans for their support.

Going gold, in gaming terms, is when the game has reached release quality —  it can be played all the way through and got sent for manufacturing. It doesn't mean that development has fully finished —  patches and bug fixing may still be in progress.

Earlier, Hideo Kojima presented Death Stranding's 49 minutes gameplay on the Tokyo Game Show 2019.

A briefing trailer was also shown behind closed doors last month and has now been released for everyone. It’s an introduction of sorts, chronicling the plot, gameplay mechanics and other elements of Death Stranding in just a few minutes:

The game goes on sale on November 8, 2019.
