Dead or Alive 6 releases its last update

Koei Tecmo shared surprising news when it announced that Dead or Alive 6 version 1.22 would be the last update the game would be receiving. 

The update dropped today and brings with it the final DLC for the game, the Revival costume packs High Society and School Uniforms. There’s also a couple of bugfixes and the entire roster received some adjustments.

Here’s a summary of all Dead or Alive 6 version 1.22 has to offer:

• Added Revival costumes: High Society - 18 costumes.

• Added Revival costumes: School Uniforms - 18 costumes.

• Added special VO to Hi Counter Holds for Diego, Kula, Mila, NiCO, Rig, and Raidou.

• Character adjustments.

• Bug fixes.

While most characters received just a few changes, Mai Shiranui and Momiji got a couple more. Tamaki, the last character to join the roster received several adjustments that mostly just fixed her moves.

The question now on everyone’s lips is what Koei Tecmo plans to do next. Could we be getting an enhanced version of Dead or Alive 6 or are they really done with the game after just one year of support? Time will surely tell.
