After a number of delays, Days Gone is finally reaching its release, which is scheduled to happen on April 26. Looks like there’s nothing else left to prevent that from happening, as the developers themselves have recently announced on Twitter that the game has gone gold. Get ready to chop some zombie hordes.
If you recall, Days Gone was expected to release back in the first half of 2018, although this never happened. The game, being one of the major PS4 exclusives for the previous year, was delayed until 2019, and only a few months later after that, we learned of February 22 as the targeted release day. This never happened either, and the latest delay is definitely going to be the last one. There were rumours based on the series of delays that Days Gone was experiencing a troubled development, but Sony Bend denied these claims. To be honest, 2018 was rich enough on PS4 exclusives – it’s hard to imagine another big title among the ones, which released last year.
Days Gone features a masculine biker named Deacon St. John as the main character. You’ll face the horrors of yet another zombie apocalypse, although Days Gone is heavily focused on character development and dynamic tactical solutions to the zombie problem. It might sound a bit familiar with The Last of Us examining quite a similar approach, but it’s not the comparison to be worried about.
