Mysterious broadcast finished with a gameplay introduction

Recently, CD Projekt RED introduced 48 minutes gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077. Video has shown some modern graphics, fascinating action and futuristic setting of a brand new game. The important thing is that the whole presentation during E3, Gamescom and Twitch stream, developers used “Work in progress” watermark. Probably it means that Polish devs don’t want gamers to evaluate Cyberpunk 2077 before the game is released.

Soon after the presentation a press release took place, where Adam Badowski stated:

“What we’re releasing today was recorded from a game deep in development. Since many of the assets and mechanics in the current version of Cyberpunk 2077 are most likely to be modified, we initially decided to show this gameplay only to media. Elements like gunplay (both in terms of visuals and how RPG stats influence it), netrunning, car physics, or the game’s UI — everything’s pretty much still in the playtest phase and we felt uneasy about publicly committing to any particular design. Animation glitches, work-in-progress character facial expressions, early versions of locations — all this made us hesitant to release what you’re about to see.”

CD Projekt RED already did something like this on E3 when they introduced Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The game was released but was not as good as the gorgeous trailer.

After watching the gameplay video for the second time, We’re very optimistic about CD Projekt’s ability to make an FPS. In any case, Developers will have more time to make the game perfect for all their fans.
