The Call of Duty World League has made changes to the rules of the competition, and now the hacker girl Zero can be chosen as a playable character. This adjustment also includes League Play mode, which was added recently. Zero joined the game roster last December with the Operation Absolute Zero upgrade and caused a storm of negativity from the fan community very quickly. Her abilities allowed her to distract opponents with the help of her gadgets and interfere with their tasks.
Initially, many players complained about Zero's overly powerful abilities, but Treyarch listened to the complaints and corrected the situation with the release of patch 1.10 at the end of December.
Zero has an Ice Pick skill, using which she can grab someone else's equipment and devices, for example, to take control of someone else's drone or helicopter. The players felt that this made the imbalance too big, and with the patch, it takes more time to get the ability and hacking devices. Also, the time required for hacking a drone, air cargo and anti-UAV, as well as the time needed for hacking a turret, drones, a helicopter and other advanced equipment, was increased.
As you can see, the changes benefited, at least according to the CWL. The league made other minor edits regarding the limitations of using Drone Squad, Sniper’s Nest and Strike Team, as well as Saug 9mm and Annihilator weapons. Now players must take into account all the innovations in preparation for the LAN tournament CWL Fort Worth, which starts on March 15.
The rules of CWL Las Vegas and CWL Pro League Qualifier remained unchanged until today and allowed professional teams to ignore the emergence of a new hero while continuing to use the old strategies of warfare.
