Counter-Strike: Global Offensive developers have presented an update made to reduce processor memory usage during the game. According to the official list of changes, starting the game with the -d3d9ex command should reduce the load by up to forty per cent.
Among other innovations, it's worth noting a number of options intended rather for streamers and people with subtle mental health:
- You can completely silence the opponents;
- You can block all communications with people who do not play with you in the same group or are not your friends;
- You can hide the avatar pics;
- Change the nicknames of players who are not your friends to something neutral.
As the developers wrote in their Twitter, these changes are designed to "disinfect players' nicknames and avatars," which is honestly a commendable initiative.
Finally, it is worth noting that now you'll have more time for selecting the next map on the official game servers, as well as the fact that IEM Katowice Major 2019 graffiti can no longer be used in the game.
