Many PC gamers are extremely salty about Rockstar’s decision to postpone the released of Red Dead Redemption 2 for Windows. Since the developers never even confirmed that the PC version of the game was in the works, many people got worried that they wouldn’t be able to play it.
These worries have been dispelled for the most part by code diggers, who reverse-engineered the game companion app and found lines hinting at PC port.
As RockstarINTEL reports, the RDR 2 companion app contains graphics parameters, applied to the PC version and support of VR headset from Oculus. Unlike PC users, console gamers don’t need to worry about things like anti-aliasing, water reflections resolution, shadows and other settings of this sort. Since these options are mentioned in the companion app, we can safely assume, that RDR 2 will soon work on Windows 7/10, as well as PS4 and Xbox One.
When Rockstar produced Grand Theft Auto 5, the studio delayed PC release for almost 6 months. If they decide to keep to the same timetable, we should expect RDR 2 for Windows around March or April.
