Combo Breaker, one of the biggest fighting game events in the world, has announced the date and location for its 2020 edition. From May 22 to 24, fans will converge at the Renaissance Schaumburg convention center in Chicago.
Known for bringing several competitive scenes together, Combo Breaker 2020 will feature big names like Street Fighter V: Champion Edition to older and more obscure games like Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code.
The event will have 256 players compete in its annual Mystery Game Tournament, with each one experiencing a new game for every round they reach in the bracket. Community Tournaments will also be receiving an overhaul in partnership with KIT Gaming and Net Battles to create a better experience for independent organizers and their fans.

Combo Breaker 2020 will also feature a 24-hour venue, a free play arcade and presentation stage for arcade tournaments, dedicated streams, cosplay, and artist alley. It's even a tournament stop for several competitive circuits like Capcom Pro Tour 2020.
Registration is now open for every event until May 4, 11:59 pm CT. There will also be an emergency sign-up period which will follow at a slightly higher ticket price. You can register here.
