Civilization 6 is a great game, no doubt about it. Even if you have never played any Civ before, I recommend that you pick it up when the next big sale comes up (I’m waiting for a Gathering Storm discount myself).
Realizing that they have a good product already, the developers focus on the various quality of life changes such as Play by Cloud multiplayer option.
The most recent additional feature in Civilization 6 is cross-platform cloud saves which lets you transfer saves between PC and Switch. There is a button in the bottom right corner of the screen (shown on the image below) with which you can register your client copy on 2K. Do it on both Steam and Switch and you can transition between clients seamlessly, taking the Civ battles on the go.
There are two problems with the current arrangement. The first catch is that in order to use this feature you need to purchase separate copies of Civilization 6 on Steam and eShop. The second problem is that Nintendo Switch has only base Civ 6 without any expansions. That might change with time, but for now, you’ll have to roll back to vanilla Civilization 6.
