CIS Minor teams decided ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

Four direct invites were handed out at the beginning to Arcade, PiTER, Rebels, and Team YP. Due to Vadim "DavCost" Vasilyev not being eligible to play in the Minor, as he played in the last major with FlipSid3, YP decided not to participate.

Eight teams were invited to the closed qualifier, while the other eight had to go through a couple of open qualifiers.

In the end, 420pm, Binary Dragons (ex-Revival), Gambit Gaming, and eXplosive made it out on top of the closed qualifier to earn a spot at the CIS Minor, taking place on January 22-24.

As there was one more spot up for grabs due to YP's withdrawal, losers of the closed qualifier's quarter-finals, Quest, PARTY, and Sibway (KULAK lost three players, thus weren't invited) played in a round-robin last-chance tournament. Quest were able to defeat both PARTY and Sibway, securing the last place at the regional Minor.

The full team list for the CIS Minor Championship is following:

  • PiTER
  • Rebels
  • Binary Dragons
  • 420pm
  • Arcade
  • Gambit
  • eXplosive
  • Quest

The winner of the CIS Minor, which will take place on January 22-24, will earn a spot at the Major LAN qualifier for MLG Columbus 2016.
