CIS Minor Championship Rio 2020 Closed Qualifier teams complete

SpeedRunners and S-Gaming emerged victorious at the CIS Minor Championship Rio 2020 Open Qualifier #4. Both teams bested 30 others through two single-elimination brackets. 

SpeedRunners' wins at the tournament kept getting better and better. In the Round of 32, they beat Revolt 16-12, then EveryBodyDance 16-8 and Lapw 16-2. In the Round of 4, they defeated Moscow Five Academy 2-0 to secure their spot at the Minor. S-Gaming started extremely well against POLIGON, but it was a close game with DreamEaters in the Round of 16. Eventually, though, they faced Se7en Esports in their last match and won 2-0 as well.

From these 16 teams, only the top 8 will qualify for CIS Minor Championship Rio 2020. While the Closed Qualifiers take place from March 5-6, the main event will follow from April 26 to May 2 in Rio de Janeiro.  

CIS Minor Championship Rio 2020 will have eight teams compete for two ESL One Rio Major spots and a $50,000 prize pool.
