Popular in the last years World Cyber Games tournament acquires a new lease of life with the new name.

It is known that the world's largest championship World Cyber Games, which was held annually from 2000 to 2013 under the management of CEO Brad Lee, ceased to exist, but, as it turned out, only to be reborn in the updated form and with a bit corrected name. The new tournament will be called the World Cyber Arena and will be held in the Chinese city of Yinchuan. The prize pool of the championship will amount to a quite considerable, at the first glance, sum of $ 3.2 million. But don’t forget that all this money will be divided between the prizewinners of seven game disciplines. So, the biggest part of the prize pool goes to the representatives of traditional Asian and not well-known in Europe mobile disciplines - DotA Legend and CQB Online. Their total prize pool will amount to $ 2.2 million! The second place according to the amount of the prize pool goes to DotA2 with its $470 000. And the remnants will be divided between the other games, such as: HearthStone, World of Tanks, Crossfire и Warcraft III.

According to organizers, the event is expected to assemble about 3,200 players from around the world. As for the format of the competition, tournament regulations and other details, the Chinese are still silent. Even instead of the exact date of the championship Management of World Cyber Arena specified something like "somewhere in October."
