Chengdu will host the first Major of the DPC 2019-2020 season

Mars Media has announced its tenth MDL event. Taking place in Chengdu, Sichuan, it will be the first Major of Dota Pro Circuit 2019-2020. 

Chengdu Major will have six regional qualifiers precede it from October 5-10, while the main event will run from November 16-24. More details about the qualifiers will be revealed early next week, but registration will end on September 28. After registration has closed, Valve will then decide which teams will be invited to the closed qualifier. 

Sixteen teams will compete for the title in what Mars Media calls the "the biggest event ever hosted in the Panda Capital". Earlier this year, the company ran the MDL Disneyland Paris Major with a $1 million prize pool. MDL Chengdu will feature the same prize amount and 15,000 DPC points.
