Check out Mila Jovovich in Monster Hunter movie

We hope that between Milla Jovovich and an open-ended plot will bring this movie to success.

When a video game gets its own movie, you don’t expect much. Other than World of WarCraft, none of the game game-based films left a considerable footnote in cinematography (when was the last time when you wanted to rewatch Assassin’s Creed or Mortal Kombat?).

Despite the ill fame of game-movie combinations, we want to hope that the Monster Hunter film will be a resounding success. In this case, the screenwriters won’t be limited to very strict plot bounds and the main star Milla Jovovich has lots of experience in thrillers like this one.

millajovovichFirst day of filming on #monsterhuntermovie based on the epic game #monsterhunterworld! As you can see, my character is glamorous as usual!???? Here’s the make up progression by the awesome @kerry_skelton_ from beginning of dirt/wounds, to the finished product. I’ve been training for this day since February, so definitely excited to start production! #rangersleadtheway #strongwomen#capetowndiary

Speaking of Milla Jovovich, she has recently posted a selfie from the first day of filming of Monster Hunter, and the image is very intriguing. Seems like Milla fully embraced her role of a cute but deadly survivor she so masterfully played in films like Resident Evil and The Fifth Element.

Constantin Film is shooting Monster Hunter around Cape Town in South Africa with assistance from Technicolor-owned Mr. X company, the same one that worked on Resident Evil franchise.
