Infinity Ward has shared a road map leading up to the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. With no specific dates provided, fans will still have an idea of when we can see the game’s Campaign and Spec Ops footage.
Cross-play details will arrive on the week of September 16. A lot of information has already been provided regarding this via numerous media outlets. However, his could be Infinity Ward’s way of putting all the information together into one convenient source. If we’re lucky, there could even be new information regarding cross-play.
Following this is the Campaign reveal at the end of September. Other than the game’s reveal trailer, nothing else is known about this game mode. There is no confirmation if it will be another trailer or actual gameplay footage, but there’s a good chance it could be both.
Last on the road map is the mysterious Spec Ops, Modern Warfare’s co-op mode. Unlike Campaign, there is no information about the new mode, but it makes sense to reveal it after the Campaign. The road map also includes the two upcoming beta weekends, but outside of them, the biggest thing on the road map is Spec Ops.
The first beta begins next week on September 12 with PS4 early access, while other players will have to wait till the next day. It will end on September 14. As for the second beta, early access begins on September 19 with other players joining the fun on September 21. This beta will end on September 23. Its also been revealed that Ground War will be available in the beta, so fans are in for a real treat.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will release on October 25 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
