The previous week was hit with big news that Bungie was parting ways with Activision - something that is hard to imagine nowadays. Moreover, Bungie has kept the rights for Destiny franchise thus continuing the journey of the Guardians of the Galaxy for good. The studio has recently posted a weekly blog with info updates regarding its current status, and Destiny franchise director Luke Smith has already shared a few thoughts.
Mr. Smith has sincerely thanked Activision for its help to establish the Destiny franchise throughout the years, but we've already reported that Activision might've been actually disappointed with the recent performance of Destiny 2. However, the outcome of this rumoured disappointment turned out to be a lot better than anyone could've ever imagined. Regarding Destiny, Bungie is still fully committed to supporting the franchise (and the sequel in particular) both in the short-term and long-term. There's a lot more content coming, more seasons, engaging activities and new ways to dive into the role of a Guardian.
