Imperial e-Sports player Matheus "bruttJ" Queiroz passed away on Sunday in a hospital in Rio de Janeiro, due to health complications.

It was only last week Imperial eSports temporarily benched bruttj due to health issues, replacing him with  Alef "tatazin" Pereira on loan from paiN Gaming. Globo Esporte first announced the news, which was later verified by Imperial eSports. The Brazilian player had complained of severe headaches and had left the team to recover near family in Rio de Janeiro.

Many have taken to Twitter to pay their respects to the young player. His last tweets thanked the Brazilian community for all its support. bruttj also expressed his desire to return to CS:GO as soon as possible. bruttj joined Imperial eSports in November from Team Reapers. His accolades include reaching the semifinals of CBCS Season 1 and a 5th-6th place finish at Gamers Club Masters III, both for Team Reapers.
