The recently released Borderlands Game of the Year Enhanced has caused a few difficulties for some gamers. The thing is that the newest version suffers from connectivity problems, and some users report that they can’t play with their friends. In some cases, there’s no possibility to connect to anyone, not only friends.
There’s a variety of particular issues, but they all narrow down to the inability to play online with others. The console versions of the game are especially affected by the issues that range from the failure while trying to connect to your friends – to the overall broken matchmaking. There’re dedicated threads on both Gearbox official forums and Reddit. The devs have already responded that they are well aware of the issues, but there seems to be no particular solution at the moment. However, the players themselves have discovered a few workarounds, and if you happened to experience the same issues, these instructions might help. The easiest way is to use port forwarding on the router. You need to manually open the setting if the device and open ports 2900 and 7777. If you don’t know how to access the router settings, there’re plenty of tutorials all over the Web.
Borderlands Game of the Year Enhanced released on April 3. The game received several visual enhancements including new character and weapon models, improved locations, and new textures. In case you thought the game lacked guns – there’re plenty more new ones. The devs also added new heads for the characters – time to unleash your customization powers. And there’re new missions as well.
