BoomTV and CashApp announce Code Green VALORANT invitational ⚡⚡⚡ Esports news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

Tournament organizer BoomTV has joined forces with mobile payment service CashApp to host the Code Green Invitational, which is a VALORANT tournament that will take place tomorrow, April 17, from 11 AM PST and broadcast on Twitch. 

A total of 16 teams will compete in the tournament. They will faceoff in double elimination brackets, with Upper Bracket matches played in best-of-2 games while the Lower Bracket is best-of-3. Similar to other esports tournaments like WeSave Charity Play, Code Green will donate $20,000 to support COVID-19 relief efforts. There will also be a CashApp viewer giveaway worth $10,000.

BoomTV joins esports organizations T1 and 100 Thieves who also announced VALORANT invitationals of their own. The T1 VALORANT Invitational will take place today while 100 Thieves Invitational: VALORANT took place on April 14 and was won by Team Shroud

The VALORANT closed beta began on April 7, with the game’s release currently scheduled for Summer 2020.
