It appears that Blizzard is currently working on a new unannounced first-person game. According to a job listing, Blizzard is seeking engineers for an unannounced project in a first-person engine.

As the description of Blizzard’s job listing reads:

“Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an experienced engine engineer to work on a robust first-person engine for an unannounced project. The ideal applicant has demonstrated ability to lead a team of engineers to success, has a vision for how a scalable, performant and technically excellent engine should be built, and has a passion for adopting state of the art rendering technology to implement visually stunning games.”

The only first-person title that Blizzard has developed so far is Overwatch. So, it will be interesting to see what this new first-person engine – and its unannounced project – is all about.

It remains to be seen whether this unannounced project is for one of Blizzard’s already established franchises or not.
