The BLAST Premier Fall Showdown has been rescheduled to November 25 -29 to coincide with the new Major changes. The BLAST Premier Fall Series 2020 will be the second "season" for BLAST in 2020, the first being the Spring Series. The original date for the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown was November 17 - 22 before the rescheduling of ESL One Rio 2020.
Earlier today, ESL announced that ESL One Rio 2020 would take place on November 19 - 22, canceling the second Major for 2020. This change is due to the ongoing coronavirus epidemic concerns, which has seen many events being canceled, rescheduled, or reformatted to online instead of LAN.
The BLAST Premier Spring Showdown is set to take place on June 2 - 7, pending any changes caused by the coronavirus epidemic. Six of the ten teams that will be competing in the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown are confirmed. The current teams are:
- Astralis
- Evil Geniuses
- 100 Thieves
- Vitality
- NiP
- MIBR
The other four teams will be decided by a number of qualifier events online leading up to the Showdown event. Due to the event being in June, we may not see the Spring Showdown affected by the coronavirus epidemic, but only time will tell.
We’re changing our BLAST Premier Fall Showdown date by one week in order to help facilitate the Major in Rio to take place 🤜
