Big update coming to Red Dead Online

Next Tuesday, which is going to be February 26, Red Dead Online will receive the first major content update, including many new modes, weapons, clothes and gestures.

Rockstar will expand the list of random events in the open world. One of them will be called Fool's Gold — players will be able to find golden armor that will automatically make you a valuable target for other players. The developers have promised a significant progression boost for participating in the activity. 

Full-fledged fishing trials are also expected, along with additional equipment to organize them. And when you start this fishing event, other players will not be able to hurt your character.

There were also promised three new competitive modes: Up in Smoke, Spoils of war and Plunder. Users will have to capture and deliver special items in them, as well as steal the prey from each other. No further details were disclosed, but we can assume that these will be fairly similar events. 

All Red Dead Online players will get 20% more experience this week as a preparation for the upgrade. No traditional free gold bars this time — sorry, but you'll have to... mine them by yourselves.
