German esports organisation, BIG has announced a couple of changes to its roster. Following the retirement of Fatih "gob b" Dayik as a competitive CS:GO player, Denis "denis" Howell will be benched to make room for Owen "smooya" Butterfield.

Pending Johannes "nex" Maget's recovery from a wrist injury, Nikola "LEGIJA" Ninić will stand-in for nex. Since May 2019, he has been on the bench thanks to complications to his previous injury which led to him having surgery in December 2018.

Alexander "kakafu" Szymanczyk has also stepped down from his coaching position, with more information regarding the composition of the coaching staff to follow in the coming weeks.

BIG CEO, Daniel Finkler stated in a release that 2019 has been a hard year for the organisation, forcing hard decisions to be made. "We took our time to evaluate the best possible roster for the second half of 2019," said Christian Lenz, BIG's CGO.

LEGIJA joins smooya, Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz, Tizian "tiziaN" Feldbusch and Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş on the team. Their first event together is GG.BET New York Invitational, from August 3-7.
