BIG and MAD Lions advance to semi-finals at DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020

BIG and MAD Lions have secured a spot in the semi-finals for DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020. All series on January 24 were best-of-series, but the remainder of the event will be best-of-three series.

BIG took down Virtus.pro,16-8, and Renegades,16-8, on their journey to the semi-finals. Johannes "tabseN" Wodars had two very good performances in the series with an average ADR of 107.1. tabseN was selected as the MVP of day one by analysts at the event.

MAD Lions continue their dominance from qualifiers and seem to be the second-best team from Denmark. The Danish squad took down the other two Danish squads in North,16-10, and Heroic,16-10, to secure their semi-final spot. Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen was on a tear across both series with an average ADR of 118.2.

The semi-finals for DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020 will take place on Sunday, January 26. BIG and MAD Lions get to scout their potential competition on Saturday since they have no games to play in. The fight for the $100,000 prize pool at DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020 will resume tomorrow, January 25 with the best-of-three elimination series.
