Focus Home Interactive have just announced that Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2, the sequel to the first installment released in April 2016, will be pushed back until January 2019. Originally planned for release in September 2018, the development team promise additional content to make up for the delay.
An RTS game set in the Warhammer 40k universe, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 expands on the narrative presented in the first chapter of the story, whilst also bringing additional races to the multiplayer. The singleplayer campaign will allow players to team up in a coop mode, which is seen as a step up, as the original game lacked this particular feature.
The developers also announced additional phases of beta playtesting will precede the launch, details of which should follow in the near future. The game is currently on sale on Steam, offering a 10% pre-order discount, or as much as 25% off for returning players.
