DICE announced the release of the "Mercury" update for Battlefield 5, which tells about Nazis making an attack on the island of Crete, dated 1941. The new map will be completely free to download for all game owners starting from May 30th. The location is built on asymmetric gameplay, which until then was the hallmark of Star Wars Battlefront, but rarely met in the Battlefield series. British troops will have access to a fleet of ground vehicles, including tanks, while the German occupiers will have an advantage in the sky.
Game's publisher Electronic Arts has not yet stated its plans to announce a new part of the franchise this year, most likely the "war simulator" will take a break and give up its traditional place in the schedule of autumn releases to another multiplayer project. Or we should wait for something at E3 2019?
