The first raid of the newly released World of Warcraft expansion, Battle for Azeroth, launches on the 4th of September. Delve into Uldir, Halls of Control, and fight your way through the abandoned titan facility to take on the source of corruption on Zandalar, one of the two continents added in the latest iteration of WoW.
With reports of Battle for Azeroth becoming the fastest-selling World of Warcraft expansion to date, for many, the fun has yet to begin. Raiding, one of the features of end-game content, has served as a centrepiece of PvE gameplay in WoW for over a decade.
The goal is to group up with fellow players and tackle some of the toughest challenges. The game offers various difficulty settings to cater to the needs of a diverse playerbase. Be it a well-coordinated team of guildmates, or a rag-tag assortment of randoms forming up a PUG, Blizzard's vision is to allow any player to experience the content at their own pace.
Not all difficulty settings become available with the launch of the raid, the unlock schedule is as follows:
04/09 - Normal and Heroic difficulties
11/09 - Mythic difficulty, Looking For Raid Wing 1
25/09 - Looking For Raid wing 2
09/12 - Looking For Raid wing 3
With a week to get acquainted with Uldir, the most hardcore guilds from all around the globe are undoubtedly polishing their strategies for
the race to be the first to take down the final boss and claim the title of 'World First' for this particular piece of content. Among the favourites are Method, who managed to snatch the first kill on the final bosses of 3 out of 5 raids in Legion, the previous expansion of World of Warcraft.
