Astralis Group has announced its entry into FIFA esports with the creation of its new team, Future FC.
Come October 1, it will also have its first player in person of Fatih Üstün. He leaves the German organisation M10, which was created by Arsenal superstar, Mesut Özil.
“Astralis is a great story in itself both as a business and as a brand and together with our League of Legends organization in Origen, Astralis Group stands on very solid ground when taking the next steps," said Nikolaj Nyholm, Co-founder and CEO of Astralis Group in a release. "Our ambition is to reach a much broader audience with our teams and FIFA is obviously a great platform for building that bridge."
“We now have three top teams and ultimately we also expect to bring in young talent, we will help develop into top players and brands," he added. "With Astralis Group we have established a platform from where we can contribute to and lead the development of international esports.”
Astralis Group was born when RFRSH Entertainment parted ways with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team Astralis and League of Legends European Championship team Origen. Future FC makes the organisation's third esports brand.
