A few recent days have been terrifying for France as the citizens had to helplessly witness how the destructive fire damaged Notre-Dame de Paris – not only the symbol of Paris and the country but also a global historical treasure of humanity. Luckily, the fire was stopped, and the overall damage was considered somewhat moderate.
While the French authorities have already announced the soon to be started reconstruction, Ubisoft suggested that Assassin’s Creed Unity might be used as a guideline to restore the former beauty of the cathedral due to the fact that the in-game copy of Notre-Dame de Paris is practically 100% authentic. Of course, the game itself is not going to be used as a reference, but rather the thorough scans of the building that were made by the developers during the pre-production stages. We’ve covered this inspiring topic in our previous article, and Ubisoft has made another move – right now, you can grab a free copy of the game on PC, and it’ll stay in your library forever. The offer is temporary, so be quick. And if that wasn’t enough, the company has announced that it’s also donating €500,000 for the reconstruction.
You can secure the free copy of Assassin’s Creed Unity until April 25. Ubisoft encourages the gaming community to join the donating campaign and help rebuild the signature Parisian sight. Hit the link for more details.
