Arsenal star goalkeeper Bernd Leno has created an esports team to compete in FIFA 20, called "Leno e-sports."
The team consists of two professional players alongside three upcoming talents. The first pro is 29-year-old Jan Niklas Flöck who is noted for finishing top 8 in Virtuelle Bundesliga 2018. He announced his recruitment team today in a Twitter post.
The second pro is 26-year-old Deniel Mutic who also recently announced his affiliation to the esports organisation. He qualified for the FIFA 2019 FUT Champions Cup 1 and eCL.
The remaining three members are up-and-coming players Max Lud, Paul Kowtun and Joe Hellman. Their addition to the team backs up Leno's desire to promote rising esports stars from Stuttgart and neighbouring areas.
According to German news site BILD, Leno held a meeting with his team back in August at London's O2 Arena during the 2019 FIFA eWorld Cup as plans were being finalised at the time.
Leno joins fellow Arsenal player Mesut Ozil as the owner of his own esports team. Ozil created M10 eSports last year in partnership with eSportsReputation. The esports management agency also happens to represent Flöck and Mutic.
