Armada’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 6.1.0 tier list

Retired (singles) Super Smash Bros. Melee player Adam "Armada" Lindgren was one of Melee’s Five Gods, the best, consistent players to ever grace the game. This makes him quite the expert in all things Smash and luckily for the community, he’s also taken a liking to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. 

With patch 6.1.0 out in the wild since mid-November, he’s had time to consider the current strength and weaknesses of the game’s roster and has now shared his tier list in a video. Since no one enjoys playing characters they feel are weak, and at a disadvantage, Armada’s list puts more focus on the higher-ranked characters. 

From the bottom, we have King K. Rool, Isabelle, Kirby, and Little Mac situated in F tier for just being generally bad overall. In E tier we have Pit, Incineroar, Dr. Mario, Corrin, Ganondorf, MewTwo and Donkey Kong.

D tier is filled with characters Armada has considered for the tier above, because in the right hands they can be quite useful. D tier consists of Robin, Cloud, Bayonetta, Piranha Plant, Jigglypuff, Belmont, King Dedede, Falcon, Ridley, Ike.  Zelda also fell in with this lot, but her position is the most variable, with Armada often considering her above and below D.

Next up is Sheik, Samus, Bowser, Ice Climbers, Wii Fit Trainer, Banjo-Kazooie, and Hero in C tier. On the rung just above is Pac-Man, Terry Bogard, Ken Masters, Ness, Duck Hunt, and Ryu in B tier. Mr. Game & Watch makes his way into A tier to join Chrom, Fox, Mega Man, Roy, Wolf, and Pichu.

Lastly, we have right at the top, Joker, Palutena, Peach, Pikachu, Zero Suit Samus, Snake, and Armada’s fave, Inkling in S tier. Armada’s top tier bears similarities to the best characters in Mew2King’s tier list. However, the differences between the characters at the bottom of Mew2King’s list is very different as we have Piranha plant in D, and both Hero and Banjo-Kazooie in C.
