Thailand will host the Arena of Valor International Championship 2019 in November. 12 teams from around the world will compete for a piece of the $500,000 prize pool. The tournament will feature the Arena of Valor World Cup 2019's "global bank pick" model, which bans players from picking heroes they've already used during the series. However, the ban is lifted if a series extends to game five.

The participating teams will be determined via the following regional tournaments which cut across 9 divisions.

  • Arena of Glory (AOG Vietnamese Professional League)

  • Arena of Valor Star League (ASL Indonesian Professional League)

  • Garena Challenger Series (GCS)

  • New Mafia (Singapore/Malaysia/Philippine League)

  • RoV Pro League (RPL Thailand Professional League)

  • China

  • Europe

  • Japan

  • South Korea

Each region will produce one team with the exception of AOG, GCS and RPL which will send two instead. Group draws for AIC 2019 will be broadcast live after the Arena of Glory finals to be held in Vietnam on October 12.

First place will win $200,000, with second getting $110,000. Third and fourth will both receive $50,000 while fifth to eighth get $16,000. An additional $10,000 will be awarded to the tournament MVP.

AIC 2019 will also include a new 1v1 matchup in which each team will be represented by a single player and compete for $5,000. More details regarding the new mode with the qualifiers for China, Europe, Japan and South Korea will be revealed at a later date.
