Arc System Works has launched the official website for Arc World Tour 2020, the developer's competitive circuit for its popular fighting games. This year the pro circuit will have one less game than 2019.
Arc World Tour 2020 begins in March with Brussels Challenge and Final Round, which both take place on the same days, March 20-22. Both will feature several fighting games with the former taking place in Belgium and the latter, the USA.
This year's event features only two games, the upcoming fantasy fighter, Granblue Fantasy Versus, and the cross-over title, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle. Last year's event had Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 and Blazblue: Central Fiction in addition to BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle. Guilty Gear Strive, the latest title in the franchise is set to arrive later this year, which could account for Xrd REV 2's absence in World Tour 2020, while Blazblue: Central Fiction was released in 2015 and could merely be making way for newer games in the pro circuit.

Players from around the world will accumulate AWT points from March to October 2020. The top 15 players with the most points will qualify for the Arc World Tour 2020 Finals, which takes place in Winter 2020, in Los Angeles. Players will be able to earn these points from Premier events, Daredevil events, and online tournaments. Point distribution will vary among them.
More information regarding online tournaments will arrive in the future, while Daredevil events are community tournaments. Premier events, on the other hand, have two tiers, gold, and platinum, with different point distribution as well. There are 12 Premier events in total with only 2 of them in the platinum tier, ARCREVO Japan 2020 and Revolution 20XX.
