Dan "apEX" Madesclaire confirms via Twitter that he has taken over the role of captain within Vitality after Alex "ALEX" McMeekin's departure from the team.
apEX released a lengthy Twitlonger on how he came to be deemed the new captain of Vitality.
Here is an excerpt that focuses on him assuming the new role:

On a personal note it wasnt easy to handle everything because i gave my best to keep all the line ups together but I failed. The last 6 months have been terrible, i couldnt find my place and i was underperforming. So the big challenge for me is to find that place again and i'm willing to give everything for that. Thats why i am finally feeling ready to be the Captain of this team. It has always been somewhere in my head but I didnt feel ready for that. As most of you know, I've had emotions issues. And now we are working with a mental coach, i'm getting way better and i'm feeling much better.
With the signing of Kévin "misutaaa" Rabier in place of ALEX, the question surrounding who would become the captain of the team lingered. misutaaa is a 17-year-old up and coming talent, meaning he wasn't someone that would most likely fill the IGL role. Now with ESL Pro League Season 11 just around the corner, apEX will be piloting the ship for the Frenchmen.
