Apex Legends Season 3: Best Guns - Weapon Tier List

Apex Legends Season 3: Best Guns - Weapon Tier List ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!
Introduction
Apex Legends became one of the most popular games in the world when it first came out. Three seasons later, it still holds its ground even though there are many people that have given up on it.
Apart from the new content, the latest update that was released exactly one month ago brings many changes in terms of weapons. As a result, many of the go-to options before are not that good right now because there are new ones. Of course, not all of them are that good, which is why we decided to make this guide and show you which are the best weapons to get right now.
Keep it in mind that some weapons on this list can drastically change their effectiveness if they are paired up with an attachment. This means that even if the firearm is not on this list, you can still make it "viable" by buffing it up.
Without further ado, let's dive in and check which are the best weapons to use right now.
The best guns in Apex Legends Season 3
The Mastiff
This weapon is what's considered to be a "rare gem" because it's pretty hard actually to get a hold of. However, if you manage to get it and you have a good aim, you can do some severe damage to your enemies, including a "one-shot kill" if he is standing close to you. The only big downside of this weapon is that it has a kind of limited ammo. This means that you need to be careful when you shoot and think more when doing it because the last thing you want is to have no ammo when you need it the most.
The Kraber
The Sniper Rifles are probably the most popular weapon in every single shooter. There is just something cool about sitting way back and killing your enemies one by one. If you are that type of a player, then this weapon is definitely going to be your best friend. The Kraber is one of the best weapons that you can get right now, even though it is only available in the so-called "care packages."
Even if you don't land a headshot, this weapon still has impressive firepower to it, which makes it the perfect choice for most players. Just pray that you will be able to get a hold of it as soon as possible.
The R-99 SMG
If you are that type of a player that loves to burst your enemies with a weapon that's able to fire hundreds of rounds per minute, this has to be on your bucket list. The R-99 has the firepower to bring down any enemy you might have, including their shields. Another cool thing about this weapon is that it is reasonably easy to be obtained.
R-301 Carbine - The Assault Rifle
When you are thinking of the best all-round weapon, this definitely has to be one of the first names that come to mind. The R-301 Carabine has to potential to do massive amounts of damage from pretty much any range, which makes it invaluable. On top of that, it's straightforward to use, which means that you don't have to be a professional player in order to get the maximum out of it.
This weapon does wonder without having to use any sort of attachments. However, if you decide to use some, you can try out the Anvil Rounds because it seems like the best option right now.
Hemlok
This is another assault rifle that is a very capable weapon, even though many people tend to underestimate it a lot sometimes. It has two fire modes - single, and burst and each of them is very potent, depending on the situation you're in. Just try it out for yourself and see if you like it.
The Longbow DMR
This is another sniper rifle that can do wonders if you manage to get it. Even though it's not as strong as the Kraber, it is still a very powerful weapon that will serve you well. It does around 50 damage per shot, which is enough to kill an enemy in two hits.
Even though this weapon received a small nerf in this patch, it is still worth acquiring because you can now get it a lot more often than before, which is something that's worth pointing out.
Peacekeeper
You can tell just by the name that this weapon is special. Peacekeeper has been one of the most loved threats from the fans due to its immense firepower and playstyle. There is no need for you add any attachments in order to make it stronger. However, if you do, it will become even more powerful.
Havoc, the Energy Rifle
This is the first energy weapon that we think deserves to be on this list because it's pretty cool. An interesting fact is that this weapon was added after the initial launch of Apex Legends. Unlike some of the other weapons on this list, this one is a bit trickier to play with because it needs a turbocharger in order to work properly. Sure, you can still use it without one, but it's just way better actually to have it. Another big plus is that this weapon can be used for a long time due to its large magazine size.
Prowler PDW
This is widely considered to be one of the best SMGs in Apex Legends due to its versatility. It has a fast firing rate, sound damage output, and decent recoil, ,which make it a perfect choice for the later stages of the game. However, it is essential to note that we believe that this is the second-best SMG. If you have the chance to get the first one we mentioned in our list, do it.
Spitfire
If you want to have a weapon that can fire for a long, long time, then this definitely has to be on your bucket list. Spitfire has one of the largest magazines in Apex Legends right now, and it also looks pretty cool. Having said that, there it also has a couple of downsides. For instance, many people consider this to be the "noob-friendly" weapon because it resembles the 5/1 weapon in Counter-Strike. Even though that's true up to a point, it is definitely a lot more useful in comparison to the one in CS. Sadly, the damage output is not the best, so keep that in mind.
Wingman
This is the first pistol on your list, and it's definitely the best one you can get in Season 3 of Apex Legends. Not only does it look cool, but it also does 45 damage to the enemies' body, which makes it one of the most potent weapons available. To make matters for your enemy even worse, you can add a specialized attachment to this weapon that can increase its damage.
Sadly, there are also a couple of downsides. For instance, Wingman is a reasonably slow weapon that fires only a couple of shots at a time. Besides, it's also wrong in terms of accuracy, which makes it very hard to fire with. However, if you spend enough time with it and get used to how it works, you will be a very deadly foe.
G7 Scout
If you think about a massively underrated weapon, this definitely has to be in the top spots. Of course, there is a reason for that - this weapon does not have aa scope, which makes firing from a long distance pretty hard. On theory, it might be useful in a close fight, but there is no point in using it for this when there are other weapons that do these kinds of things better. Luckily, you can use attachments in order to make it better.
Devotion
This is a very controversial weapon because the Apex Legends players either love or hate it. Regardless of which side you choose, there is no denying that if you put a turbocharger on it, it becomes one of the best killing machines in the game.
The scary part is that you need to get a hold of a turbocharger in order to be effective. It's not really worth keeping this weapon unless you find this "ingredient" because there are many weapons out there that do the same thing better. To make matters worse, this weapon also has some of the worst recoils in the game, which makes aiming at it very hard.
VK-47 Flatline
This weapon is very similar in a way to Hemlok, but sadly, it's not as good. Sure, it does more damage, but that's pretty much the only bonus it has when you compare it with Hemlok. The fire rate and lack of ammo make it very inconsistent and hard to predict.
If you believe in yourself that you have a good aim, this is definitely one of the top choices you can get. However, if you are relatively new to the game, it's not really recommended to opt for this weapon because it's just too sluggish and inaccurate.
RE-45
This is the second-best pistol you can find in Apex Legends right now after the Wingman, which we covered above. The best way of describing this weapon is an early-game dominator. It's fast, easy to use, and does a decent amount of damage. However, once you progress a little bit in the game, definitely be on the lookout for a swap because it won't be useful anymore. One of the best switches you can make later on is for an R-99, so try getting your hands on it.
Eva-8
The Charge Rifle
Unlike the other weapons on this list, the Charge Rifle was introduced in Season 3, which makes it one of the newest weapons in the game. At first sight, it might seem like this weapon is incredibly strong, especially if you have a good aim. It looks like the devs noticed how powerful it is, which is why they came out with not just one but TWO nerfs.
Unlike before, the Charge rifle only has two shots in its magazine and can't be upgraded in the future. We can only hope that those nerfs won't kill it entirely because it will be a shame.
The L-star
This is one of those weapons that can be an absolute blast to play with, especially if you are a good player. Even though it does not to that much damage (21), it's pretty easy to shoot with. Unfortunately, it's uniqueness is what makes this weapon bad. Unlike the rest, this one uses a specific type of ammo, which you don't find that often. This means that you need to be very careful when you shoot because getting out of ammo is a real possibility here.
We advise you to try it out and see if it suits your playstyle. Just remember, always be on the lookout for a better option.
Mozambique - the Meme
Every single game has some sort of an inside joke meme, and Mozambique is just that in Apex Legends. It does not have good stats, the damage is low, and the fire speed is not all that great either. However, it is still one of the coolest weapons in the game.
If you are interested in using it, be sure to try and aim for a headshot in order to do maximum damage.
P2020
This is a cool pistol that is only useful if you manage to "buff it up" a bit. However, if you are not willing to take the time and do it, it's definitely not advisable to use this weapon because it's pretty weak. In addition, it is also tough to shoot with it, which makes it even more ineffective.
The Alternator
This was one of the weapons that received multiple buffs during Season 2 in Apex Legends. In fact, this one of the best weapons to break the shield of your enemies until the devs realized that it's a little bit too strong and released the nerf hammer.
The Alternator is very similar to R-99 in terms of the damage output. However, the firing rate and the lack of a prominent magazine are things that are worth mentioning. If you have to chance to choose between both of them, go for the R-99 because it's definitely the better choice.
Triple Take- the Sniper Rifle
This is the last weapon on your list that we believe is worthy of being mentioned. The Triple Take is a pretty strange weapon because even though it's a ranged weapon, it is actually more useful in close range, which is very odd.
Needless to say, this is not a weapon that you want to keep until the end of the game. When you get the chance to have a Longbow or a Havoc, don't think twice.
These were some of the best weapons you can get right now in season 3 of Apex Legends. Keep in mind that the devs love to do the so-called "stealth" updates from time to time, so don't be too surprised if you see any of the weapons on this list nerfed to the ground.
