Sad things happen to all of us. Cyclone Idai has hit Mozambique and made some serious damage to the African country. People are hurt, they have no houses, because of the natural disaster — a mass flooding.
So the Apex Legends community decided to raise some charity money to help those who are in need. The same named gun from the game is considered the worst, it is so useless that has even become a local meme. Still, it has inspired gamers to make a Reddit thread dedicated to helping the country of Mozambique.
This thread leads us to the International Committee of the Red Cross' donation page. Also, some have generated other cool ideas for Respawn to bring to life — manage to somehow turn every Mozambique kill achieved by players into donations, or create a special cosmetic skin for the Mozambique gun, country flag colours, for example.
Isn't it great that people from all over the world can gather to help those who suffer? Well, to be fair, if Respawn decides to join the community's idea, they will not be the first philanthropic developers. Last year Blizzard made a record-breaking amount for breast cancer research by creating a special pink Mercy skin.
