Respawn Entertainment has released the 1.1 Apex Legends patch — it fixes the bug related to a critical error that occurred last night. Due to this error, the players lost all their achievements and level progression once connecting to the server. The studio restored the levels and cosmetic items to users suffered from this situation.
Among the important innovations, it is worth noting the newly added option to mute your teammates in the character selection menu (previously this could be done only from the moment of dropping). An additional button appeared in the lobby — it allows you to see the profiles of those who you played with in the last session, add them as friends or invite them to the party again.
The update also included a penalty system for those who leave the match while the game is still on. Soon, the function was turned off, referring to the fact that it still requires improvements and testing. Fans have repeatedly complained about the players quitting the lobby immediately after being knocked out or killed, despite the existing resurrection mechanics. This behaviour puts the team at a disadvantage against opponents with a full squad. There will be a temporary restriction to connect to a new session for such bad deeds.
There also appeared a couple of curious skins in the in-game store that were deleted after a few hours and probably will come back in the following patches. @RealApexLeaks managed to document them:
