Apex Legends leaked on Reddit almost a year ago

Apex Legends came out of nowhere and instantly became a phenomenon, thanks to a perfectly working game mechanics and a system of playable characters. But in fact, this project's first mention appeared almost a year ago on Reddit, but went unnoticed. There, the user with the nickname u/hitconic had published an image of a location, which we now know as the Kings Canyon, having signed the screenshot as a supposed map of the upcoming Battle Royale in the Titanfall universe.   

Another forum member the other day came across an old publication and hurried to share it with the community. Respawn Entertainment's Community Manager had also commented on this leakage. According to his words, the developers did notice this post and were very pleased with the fact that very few people paid attention to it and the project remained incognito until the official announcement. 

Who could have thought that all the 'ugh, another battle royale incoming' thing would turn out like this?
