Announcing WePlay Academy League Season 2

After the incredible success of the inaugural season, WePlay Esports is proud to announce that WePlay Academy League will return on September 28th, 2021 with Season 2! Just like with Season 1, WAL S2 will comprise two stages: an online Group Stage from September 28th to October 9th, and LAN Playoffs from November 14-16th.

This time around, the Group Stage will consist of two GSL groups with the top team from each group qualifying for Playoffs. The 2nd and 3rd place teams of both groups will proceed to a Last Chance Group, which will take place between October 7-9th. The top two teams of that group will then join the other two for the offline Playoffs. Another change with the format of Season 2 is that all Group Stage matches will be Bo3s! Just like with the opening season, WePlay Academy League Season 2 will have a grand prize pool of $100,000! Just like with Season 1, at least four of the team's five players must be aged between 16 and 20 years old.
