AniMajor GS Predictions: Editorial vs Talents, Day One

AniMajor GS Predictions: Editorial vs Talents, Day One: EpheyDota, LizZard and Arseny are having a contest to guess who's the best predictor!

WePlay AniMajor is in full pace! Yesterday we witnessed Team Nigma and Vici Gaming proceeding to the Group Stage from the Wild Card (not without a lot of drama, though); and now the most difficult and unpredictable part of the Major starts. Eight teams, two of which are going to leave the tournament in the end, will launch the battle for precious DPC points just in a couple of hours! But we're here for another reason, right?

Admir "LizZard" Salkanovic and Mira "Ephey" Riad agreed to fight with our editorial Dota expert for the title of the chief oracle. So, since AniMajor is divided into three stages, so too has this competition.

  • Stage 1, Wild Card: Predict top-2 and get 5 points per 1 correct team.
  • Stage 2, Groups: Daily Predictions, 1 point for guessing the outcome.
  • Stage 3, Playoffs: Daily Predictions, 1 point for guessing a match-winner + 0.5 points for a correct score.
  • Bonus: Predict AniMajor Champion and get 20 points.

Whoever gets the most points at the end wins!

AniMajor Predictions Stage 2

Here's what the experts think:

Match Ephey LizZard Arseny
EG - TNC Predator DRAW 2 - 0 DRAW
Team Liquid - beastcoast DRAW 2 - 0 0 - 2
PSG.LGD - beastcoast 2 - 0 2 - 0 2 - 0
Team Spirit - EG 0 - 2 2 - 0 DRAW
Vici Gaming - Team Liquid DRAW 2 - 0 DRAW
Team Nigma - PSG.LGD DRAW 0 - 2 DRAW
Vici Gaming - TNC Predator DRAW 2 - 0 2 - 0
Team Spirit - Team Nigma DRAW 0 - 2 DRAW

Ephey, Dota 2 Talent

While I believe Vici Gaming is one of the strongest teams in the tour and China is the strongest region, it feels like they go off the rhythm internationally with the exception of PSG.LGD. Team Spirit and Team Nigma can draw because these teams have more experience playing with each other.

Also, I think that SEA Dota always catches people off-guard.

I honestly have no idea what will happen! This is me guessing based on arbitrary stuff and storylines, please include that!

Arseny Kuzminsky, WePlay Editorial Journalist

I think that beastcoast will definitely show us something pretty cool. They will be able to at least secure a map from Liquid, and I would even risk betting on them because InSaNiA's team is known for their longer acceleration during Group Stages, hence my decision regarding the TL - Vici match. And as much as I would like to choose the winners with my heart, my mind says that we're going to see draws again.
