California is such a lovely place to live, although the frequent seismic activity in the region might cause a few troubles. The area was hit with a 7.1-scaled earthquake over the weekend, and it almost prevented Shroud from playing Apex Legends during his stream.

Shroud had a complex relationship with Apex Legends from the very beginning, and he’s once claimed to never return to the game. However, we all know that streamers have to play major titles if they want to keep and maintain their own popularity – and the recent release of Season 2 in Respawn’s Battle Royale is a reasonable cause to return to the Kings Canyon. Shroud was hosting a stream over the weekend and playing Apex Legends when an earthquake hit. It was actually the second one in two days with the first one reaching 6.4 magnitude and the subsequent being even more powerful – 7.1 magnitude. The moment the earthquake started was captured during Shroud’s livestream – and you can clearly see the shelves shaking in the video below. The popular streamer panicked a little before continuing to play. Whether it was an overreaction or a genuine one is unclear.

You might joke around a bit saying that Shroud could’ve mistakenly taken the leviathans for an earthquake as they are heavily stomping on the ground, but the situation was actually no place for fun. Let’s just hope that California will not disappear underwater together with Shroud because of a cataclysm.
