Allied Esports has announced a multi-year partnership deal with digital media company LiveXLive. The esports venue creator will use its HyperX Esports Trucks as content production facilities during live concerts and music festivals.
The HyperX Trucks are mobile esports venues used to hold gaming tournaments. During this partnership they will also be used as LiveZone production facilities at LiveXLive events. This will allow them to broadcast event content and host bands for its “LiveXLive Presents” series.
LiveZone is a traveling studio for music festivals and other live events. Broadcasts will include music news, commentary and artist interviews. The first event will be held on September 21 in Las Vegas, with more to be announced for the US and abroad.
Allied Esports CEO Jud Hannigan had this to say in a release. “Partnerships with forward-thinking companies like LiveXLive will allow us to continue to bridge the gap between esports and other entertainment industries and deliver high-end, brand-friendly experiences and content for consumers around the world.”
LiveXLive chairman and CEO, Rob Ellin also commented: “With this partnership, we are bringing the two fastest-growing live entertainment categories together, enhancing the experience for both consumers and brands.”
Both music and esports cater to a wide demographic of young people that often have overlapping interests. This deal will see both companies easily tap into each other's existing market base.
