All we know about Wattson, the new Apex Legend

Respawn Entertainment chose not the most obvious, but perhaps the most correct strategy for adding new content to the game. Along with the start of the first season, there were not too many innovations. However, according to numerous rumours, one more piece of updates is expected in the very near future. The main interest is the Legends roster's expansion with Wattson, a defence character. We have collected everything we know about her at the moment. Yes, her. 

Wattson was there in a large February leak, and then had been confirmed within Shroud's live stream. The streamer reported that he had already tested the girl during the alpha period along with Octane, but didn't share any features of the gameplay. All the information disclosed further is only a theory based on various datamineers and Reddit users.

Wattson plays an important role in the history of the Apex Games, as she is the daughter of the competition's chief engineer. Her abilities force the user to act in a radically different way rather than any other hero. 

All of them are based on interaction with electrical devices, and a special ability sets a so-called Tesla Trap in the selected area. Judging by the data from the game files, it is possible to adapt the Trap's actions to the current battle situation so to maximize the benefit for the squad. 

In fact, this device may well be something like the electric analogue of Tripwire from Titanfall 2, which is triggered by direct contact with the enemy. 

Wattson's appearance is expected before the end of the current Battle Pass season, that is, in the next couple of months. Also, there can start the first major in-game event that changes the map. We could have seen it at some  frames from the trailer and a leaked promotional image:
